Hampshire Cultural Trust is sprinkling festive cheer at Milestones Living History Museum and Basing House in Basingstoke this Christmas season. Get into the spirit with Christmas fayres, a visit from Father Christmas and his reindeer and festive children’s activities in the lead up to the big day and beyond!

Christmas Fayre at Basing House - Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November 11am - 4pm
The Tudor Barn will be decorated for Christmas and approximately 25 stalls will sell Christmas gifting ideas. On Saturday there will be a Nativity scene with animals from Mill Cottage Farm and on Sunday English Civil War Society Marquess of Winchester Regiment re-enactors will hosting a living history experience, preparing a 17th century lunch - pre-cutlery, all finger food!
£3.50 adult, £2.50 child - special event price, standard Basing House ticket not valid. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-booking advisable.
Milestones Museum – Basingstoke RG22 6PG
Victorian Christmas – Saturday 4 December to Thursday 23 December
Visit Milestones this December and experience a Victorian themed Christmas with decorations, Christmas trees and lights on the museum’s cobbled streets. There are festive treats such as mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies all available to purchase.

Father Christmas at Milestones – Every Saturday and Sunday in December (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day) and Monday 20 to Thursday 23 December 10:30am - 4:30pm
Bring the whole family and meet Father Christmas in his grotto.
£12.50 per child. Accompanying adult £5 without valid Milestones ticket; free entry per adult with valid Milestones ticket. Entry includes day admission to Milestones. Tickets valid for day of booking only. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-book via website.
Meet the Reindeer – Thursday 23 December 11am - 3pm

Reindeer Spotter Trail – Throughout December
Spot the reindeer hidden throughout the museum with our festive trail - find them all to receive a seasonal treat!
£2.50 per trail. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Available to purchase via website or at the museum.
Christmas Market – Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December 10am - 4:45pm
Back for 2021! 50 stalls in the streets of the museum for visitors to browse, with gifts from cushions to candles to jewellery as well as live music from artists including The Basing Singers and Miss Franny De Light.
Pre-booking essential. £5 per adult, £2.50 per child, under 5s go free. Includes day entry to the museum. Ticket valid for booked day only. Standard Milestones ticket is not valid for the Christmas market. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Parking in the Milestones car park will be limited to Blue Badge holders only. Please use the main Leisure Park parking facilities.
Twixmas tidings – Monday 27 December to Monday 3 January (closed New Year's Day) 11:30 am - 3:30pm
Street magician Collin Claus will be performing street magic on the historic streets of Milestones. We will still have our beautiful Christmas decorations shining throughout the museum and visitors can take part in a free New Year Quiz trail.
